I have to admit that although I’m probably not going to buy Just Cause 3, it looks like you could have an insane amount of fun just, well, creating a mess and trying to destroy everything in the game world, set in an island paradise called Medici.
If you are going to buy Just Cause 3, you might not want to watch this video which shows the first hour of game play from the game, thanks to SquareEnix and Avalanche Studios. That said, just because the video shows a certain way of playing Just Cause 3, it doesn’t mean you’ll play it that way.
Let me know what you think. Are you going to buy it? It’s out on December 1, I believe.
Watch the latest Just Cause 3 game play trailer from E3 and you’ll see exploding bridges, exploding petrol stations, wing suits, main hero Rico Rodriguez driving through sunflower and lavender fields, a parachute that goes back into its backpack when you’ve used it, a fighter plane being used to blow up a refinery, a grapple hook, a statue that pulls itself to bits thanks to Rodriguez’s tether system.
There’s so much carnage that my eyeballs hurt just watching it. It’s an assault on the eyeballs, that’s what it is.
Just Cause 3 is out on “high-end” PCs, PS4 and Xbox One on December 1. I guess a high-end PC means my Geforce 660Ti isn’t good enough? Console it is, then.
One of the most endearing memories I have from the game Just Cause 2 (I think it was Just Cause 2) is using a grappling gun to attach to the rooftop of a car then deploy a parachute, letting my character just paraglide above all the chaos below.
At least, I think that was Just Cause 2. If it wasn’t it’s a game I want to play.
I suspect we’ll be able to do similar things in Just Cause 3, the next game in the series from Avalanche Studios. You can see at the very end of the trailer – which is more just announcing the game rather than showcasing gameplay, which is a little sad – our hero Rico Rodriques wearing a glide suit (that’s what they’re called, right?)
Oh, the soundtrack to the trailer is a rather cool version of The Prodigy’s Firestarter. Very cool indeed.
