The Witcher 3: Monsters!

I’m excited about The Witcher 3. I’ve even pre-ordered the game from – that’s how excited I am for this.

May 19  can’t come soon enough but to help pass the time here’s another developer diary from CD Projekt Red.

This one’s about the monsters in the game and how the developer wants them to be as believable as possible (believable as monsters can be) and not be impossible things that can defy the laws of physics.

  1. Hi Gerard, would you recommend starting at witcher 1 or jumping straight into 3? I have only recently started Mass effect so it will probably be a year away but best to plan ahead.

    • From what I understand, you don’t need to have played the first two Witcher games to play The Witcher 3. That said, if you wanted to play a previous Witcher game, I’d go for the second one. Although at times the combat is frustrating, I thought it was a better game than the original.

  2. Reviews are coming in for Witcher 3. I think you’ll be quite busy come June.
I’m still overloaded with games and no time to play so this will be a while away for me yet (still playing Destiny if you can believe that – next expansion looks like the time to get into the game btw)

    • Yeah, I’ve seen a few reviews appearing online. I’ll play The Witcher 3 for a bit – at least until Batman Arknam Knight arrive then I’ll have to divide what little time I have for gaming between the two (and Red Dead Redemption, which I’m playing again on the Xbox 360). Good luck with your gaming!
